New Warranty Replacements

I did my first warranty replacement on one of my fireboxes this week. I thought it went pretty well. I filed on Monday morning, got my conformation Tuesday afternoon and went to my nearest Ace Hardware for the exchange. Except for this being the first exchange the guy did since the new policy took affect I walked out with a replacement today. At first he didn't seem too sure about things but after showing him my email he figured it out and that was it! I attempted a warranty replacement from this same Ace before the new policy and I believe they would have done it but that time I decided to just travel the 35 miles to the dealer who normally handles this stuff for me.

I've had eggs for the past 21 years and this was the fastest and easiest part replacement I've done. I'm liking the new system. What do they charge to ship a firebox?

Anyone else have any comments on their experience?

I had an internal piece crack due to heat.     Replaced within about 5 working days.   Easy!

Maybe for the main pieces. My dealer used to just hand me replacements, and this got me when I tried to exchange a plate setter that had been switched that they couldn’t find a record of.

    Plate setters.
I’m slowly converting to the CGS alternatives.

I’ve done a couple of Warrenty exchanges since the policy changed and both were flawless. Glad you had a good experience.

the only negative feedback i heard was from a very small dealer— an outdoors outfitter type store that just recently discontinued carrying eggs.

they didn’t do enough volume to have regular shipments (that warranty parts could be added to) so it was problematic to fulfill.

so if there’s a way to impact the dealer who fulfills during the process i would go with a bigger dealer if close enough rather than closest.

no warranty claims for me yet but ATL folks can hopefully just go to HQ. if not one of a million ace hw.
