53 Laps and this coming weekend.
Lights out soon.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

This takes place less than 10 miles from home.
Can clearly feel excitment in the air, lots of Ferrari fans all dressed up in red. Continuous helicopter flyovers like in apocalipse now.
Never attended the event in person though

    6 Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes)
    7 Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber)
    8 Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin)

Should be a good race as the track offers some good wheel-to-wheel racing opportunities.

    And the results-

Max Verstappen converted pole position into victory at the Italian Grand Prix, following a dominant display at Monza.

The Dutchman had an early battle with Lando Norris but, ultimately, cruised to a third win of the season. Norris finished in second after McLaren implemented team orders, ahead of Oscar Piastri in third.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc failed to repeat his 2024 heroics, settling for a lonely fourth. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton completed the top six.

Fernando Alonso and Nico Hulkenberg were the only drivers who failed to finish, although the latter did not even start the grand prix due to a hydraulic issue.

    Find the full results below!

Personal comment:  Great action in the opening few laps but then settled into a routine race up front.  Good challenges and racing in the back of the field.

Interesting that McLaren effectively penalized Piastri by giving back a place as a result of the poor pit performance on Norris.

For the sporting record: Formula 1 podium winners (granted there are only three) spray down each other with what appears to be at a minimum Jeroboam (3 L) bottle of champagne without wearing any face (goggle) protection.  This happens every podium celebration.
