Not my cook and not really stand-alone wourthy but...
Son-in-law cooked ham and jowl from the farm pig he ordered. I know he fired up the SV, IP, pellet smoker and oven broiler; don't have the deets though.

Jowl over ham, heavens...

I made Japanese milk bread and Stecca...
Our youngest made peach cobbler cake...

Potato salad and almost end-of-season Ontario sweet corn, no pic.
Have a great short week, folks!

Learn something new, didn't know or forgot (even at my age or because of...) the GWN celebrated on the same calendar day.  That is a great spread for Labour (nod) Day and any other day should you get the engagement of the recognized chefs.  Gotta be a proud event when the family gathers, never mind produces such an impressive banquet.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.
  • Skin on that pig looks spot on.

Japanese milk bread looks and sounds excellent. That cobbler, too!

Are you famous for your stecca yet? Doesn’t take long!! 😆

Thank you Cap. Don't be so hard on yourself, you remembered Dominion Day, right? I lost track of all the holidays, some are called by different names but celebrated on the same day on both sides of our border. Thanksgiving is most interesting given how far apart they are, but heh I can cook turkey twice!

  • Very awesome, Gary. What a great spread.
Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
