Gave them the first go tonight.






Very fun! Temp held around 690 deg F. I think it would have gone a little higher if I had cleaned the ashes out in their entirety. Did 3 and they kept getting better as I expected as the stone got hotter.
Great first attempt and fun.

Nice looking pies, what were the toppings?
I leave the Egg at temp for 20 mins to allow the stone to absorb heat energy, this gives more spring to the crust as there is more energy transferred to the dough to allow rapid expansion of air bubbles. Also gives a crisper base.-----------------------------------------------------------------------
