    Just a warning about amazoid.  I dropped the Prime membership a couple years ago, I just wasn't buying enough from them for it to be worthwhile anymore. 
    Anyway, I added these to my "basket", and already had four other items in it so decided to place the order.  All five items said "Get it FREE delivery by Tuesday of next week".  But, when I hit the next button, all of the sudden one of the items had a $6.99 shipping charge.  There was a button that offered free shipping by Saturday, but included a 30-day free Prime subscription, which I did not want.  So I deleted that item, and decided to try ordering the remaining four.  Again, all of the sudden the top item had a $6.99 shipping charge, with free shipping tomorrow with Prime, $6.99 by Monday, and $7.99 by Sunday.  Same story as I eliminated the remaining items, so I ended up ordering nothing.  I KNOW the first page said I could get them all by Tuesday with Free shipping, but they're trying to sneak in either a shipping charge or a "free" Prime membership (which I, and most people, will forget about in 30 days).  
    Billionaire Oligarch bastids!  :anguished:  
     
     
    EDIT:  I just went back to amazoid, and added the five items back to my order page, and saw the same thing, free shipping for everything by Tuesday but then it switches to the top item ships for $6.99 unless I join Prime.  Bastids!!

    Botch what I have seen is similar.  The shopping journey emphasizes availability for free shipping and sets that expectation with the cart total, etc. The default shipping option when you first arrive at checkout magically selects a paid shipping option. Tricky indeed. 

    We are reasonably close to a Whole Foods which has a staffed Amazon counter for pickups and returns.  Picking up there is free and often sooner than delivery.

    Hmm, I wasn't aware of that; may have to explore that locally here.  
    Although, there are very few things I need anymore that I need to use Amazon, so I may just be deleting them from my bookmarks altogether.

    My understanding is if it’s “shipped by Amazon” shipping switches back to free if your order exceeds $35. Used to be $25…

     Crap. Price is $10 now. Bought some the last time, and these are the best. 

    @Botch - Amazon also has lockers, where one can have stuff delivered. I’ve seen them at gas stations, parks, etc. There may be one close to you. I don’t know how much non-Prime shipping charges are, though.

    these are really nice and sturdy but it seems i got screwed at the drive thru. ordered 2, one slipped out a hole in the package during transit. since the price jumped to 9.99, amazon wont send a replacement and just re credited the $3.16 to my account. those bastards =)
