granite/paver AND Nest for acacia table??

Hi all,

I recently scored an XL Acacia table off FB Marketplace for a great deal. I bought the BGE XL Nest stand.  to set it on.  I want to protect the table and have seen conflicting posting on having the Nest stand and a paver/stone.  Wanted to ask everyone here.  The XL Nest stand is 26" square so either 4 paver stones or a piece of granite underneath - thinking 28" square....unless it is totally unnecessary but I really don't want to scorch the table.

Thanks!

In my opinion, if it’s sitting on the table nest, the paver/granite is unnecessary.

As mentioned above, you probably don't need a paver with the nest.

But, a paver is cheap. If you add a paver, make sure it has a small air gap underneath it.

I always think a paver helps with the inevitable cleanup under the vent. Practical security, especially in addition to the table nest.

The nest is a must. Do not use just a paver. It is a heat sink. It provides a false sense of security.
