Help with new bands on XL

I just put new bands on and tried to use spacer to align bands but with the new design that holds the lid on up by the handle the band won’t slide down enough to touch the spacers so my band is stay uneven. Has anyone else had this issue and any suggestions on how to fix it?

    my large with the new bands is opposite to this. the upper band sits below the ceramic gasket lip and the bottom sits too high. the band space on the ceramic is too short, on the dome the gasket will sit up inside the dome

    this bge hq video for xl assembly doesn’t have the front dome tabs on the handle. probably old video.

    if loosening the nuts on those tabs/handle end lets you get parallel bands then tighten that last. 

    it looks like there is some vertical adjustment room in this pic from the bge site
