Z Grill?? “Lifetime grill”

Y’all see this ad?

you buy a pellet smoker, $777. Then every five years you can pay $100 to be shipped a new grill, for 50 years.

Very bizarre….

That's a sweeter deal than what I just got with my new iPhone!  Interesting though if they have some way of backing up that promise in this day of small businesses croaking after the original guy dies.

naw they’re real straight forward that when the company goes under, “you paid a fair price for your first one”  :o
  • No judgement, but to me, there is something very off-putting about the throw-away mentality here. 11 grills? Is the grill of such questionable quality that I have to toss it every five years and get a new one? Seems extraordinarily wasteful and exploits our obsession with consumerism.

The chance the company will be in business very long is slim.
  • I’m assuming they’re hard up for cash, and this will either save them, or they’ll make a run for it.

yea that stuff really bothers me. I haven’t bought a pellet grill because I figured they’ll just fall apart, so I guess this is a weird warranty.

Seems desperate and shady to me. Will be interesting to see if they’re around long.

My guess is they're selling $200-300 grills at best for $777 and sucking you into affordable replacements that they don't plan to be around to support. They're getting their money and then some now by getting us to focus on the future promise.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

There's a big market for used iPhones, that's totally different, that's more like trading in a car.

    $200 grill for $777, and $100/replacement.

    $0 = ($777 - $200) - $100*G

So on 6th grill company loses money, or in 30 years.

I am going out on a limb and assuming there will be some sort of adjustable processing fee to offset shipping and inflation.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

It’s intriguing. They have a buy 2 for $1077 deal as well. Only one free grill every five years, though. I presume either is eligible ( they have four models that are available for this deal). But, you can upgrade whenever you want on a pro-rated scale.

This might be the only really honest sale I’ve seen? Cheap Chinese products. Expect them to rust and wear out. Look forward to replacing it every five years. Sell old one on fb marketplace for $100 to pay shipping.

Tariffs are in play but it’s too soon to tell of course.

I think it’s worth it! I have a Yoder 640s and we use it CONSTANTLY. For ~$500 each, I’d give pellet grills to friends for a gift. If one blows up, replace it for them. They’ll love it, too.
