Costco is carrying a new brand of lump this season, from Quebec? $21.99 for 10kg bag. Wondering how it compares with Maple Leaf.

I’d def give it a go. Given they carry Basque’s, I trust the quality can’t be too far off the mark. And if it is, you know you can always return it.

@caliking Thanks for the link, my takeaway:
...dense...some huge chunks...very little chips and small pieces...10 kg...takes long time to light...
Other lumps like Maple Leaf and Basques from Quebec are 8 kg and brittle. My educated guess is these are not fully carbonised, hence the extra 2 kg and not easily broken.

the costco stuff is good, JD is awesome but not cheap... for half the price no issue with the costco stuff. my family doesn't love the rainforest blends (I do, and it sparks less) so we are team fogo over hear for the largest amount of taste palletsCanugghead said:

Never personally tried it bur my friend did and he likes it. I'll be buying a bag once my stash is out.
