Recurring underbite

I've had the large Egg since 2016, and have corrected underbite successfully. Recently though I am needing to correct it more frequently. I was wondering if the bands can get to a point where they just need correcting a lot and if so, would the new style bands be a solution. I suspect this isn't a warranty claim if they are.

5 year warranty on the bands. I’m in the same boat and have had my egg for about 14 years. The new bands are the solution.

Like Dyal said, especially if you have the old style. I had the same underbite problem with my large and replace them with the new style and it fixed the problem. I lived with the underbite for a long time though because it wasn’t affecting the cook and held a good seal.Las Vegas, NV

I put the new style bands on my Large about four years ago, they have required no adjustment since installation. When I had the old style they needed adjustment at least once a year.

Like you, my Large was acquired in 2016. I have never had to adjust anything, but I also overtightened to the extreme upon setup.I like the newer bands, but find the narrower opening is a bit of a letdown.
