OT - family farmhouse getaway

Just had a family getaway at an AirBB farmhouse with modern amenities as well as livestock.

View from the dining room window...

S.I.L did first dinner, Ribeye roast and blade roast smoked in Traeger and seared on gasser at home...

sliced, added butter and herbs, into the kitchen box...

Cream of mushroom sour dough soup bowl, Ontario corn...

Getting ready to step on landmines of poop...

After dinner chore - rounding up and feeding the goats, sheep and alpacas before they retire for the night. The first night was quite a challenge for us city dwellers, struggled for probably 3/4 of an hour! Got it all figured out on the last day, done in under ten minutes...

Also feeding the birds...

Morning chore - letting the animals out and collect eggs for breakfast...

Not allowed to use the firepit before 6pm, my Solo Stove came to the rescue since littles ones can't stay up late...

MSMSM (nod @Ozzie_Isaac)for second dinner, cured and smoked at home, steamed on site for 4 hours, easy peasy...

Frozen burgers, glad I brought the GrillGrates, no contact with yucky communal gasser grill and no flare up...

Daughter made spaghetti and meatballs for last dinner, with sour dough garlic bread, garden lettuce, tomatoes and basil from home...

Final chore...

It was fun and memorable.
The second grandkid asked, can we eat the goat and chicken?

canuckland
