Peeling???

I just noticed that there is a 'film' peeling around the stainless steel outside frame of the draft door..where the frame meets the GBE. I first thought it was plastic that should have been removed at delivery. Not sure. It surrounds the frame. Any help is appreciated.

Please post a few pictures as I suspect it is a manufacturing protective deal however...Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.
