OT - Cheap White Vinegar

I know of two excellent uses for it:
1. If I accidentally get epoxy on something, vinegar will clean it off, at least before it hardens.
2. I put some in the softener bin in my clothes washer and it neutralizes whatever's in the clothes soap that makes me itch.

    Excellent for washing windows with newspaper (if you have a source of newspaper 🤣)

    I use it cooking when I want to add some vinegar punch without adding a lot of liquid.

    I wash all my soft skinned fruits in a 5 to 1 (water to vinegar) wash.  Soak for ten minutes, then rinse.  Strawberries and blueberries will last for over a week in the fridge after a wash.  Otherwise around here you get 3 days max.

    For dipping wontons, egg rolls, lumpia, gyoza, dumplings, potstickers, etc:
    1 Tbs white vinegar
    1 Tbs soy sauce
    1 Tbs water (or mix of water + shaoshing wine)
    a few drops toasted sesame oil
    crushed red pepper flakes and thin-sliced scallion to taste
     

    I also much prefer white vinegar to AC vinegar for refrigerator pickles; ymmv.
