Mom has commandeered my old printer because she “knows how to use that one “ and her stuff is already set up with her iPad and laptop.
Wanting specifically a laser to copy some of my drawings for watercolor painting.
Secondly I’m trying to print all my dive logs to store in my book vs just on my computer in case it crashes. With the software I use I am able to add photos from the dive so want a descent quality but not trying to print epic masterpieces. Pages are going to be 5x7
also wanting to use to add pictures to my recipes I’m printing
looking at the hp laser jet pro 283fdw if there’s one that’s better would be open to those as well

I have an HP M454 color duplex laser printer and have had it for several years. It has worked flawlessly. The ink cartridges are terribly expensive but last quite well. They have a chip so it's at least awkward to dig out the chip and install it in an cheaper after-market cartridge. Their customer service, as with so many other companies, is both automated and miserable.I doubt that this printer is what you're looking for although it would probably do the job. Mostly I wanted to share the pros and cons, which quite likely would apply to any of their laser printers.Somewhere on the Colorado Front Range

The main thing you want to be looking for is the cost of replacing the toner. I don’t print much so I got the cheapest one from Costco but when time comes to replace the toner, it will cost me more than the cost of the printer…____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli

I got an MFP M281 at Costco in 2020, and stocked-up on toner cartridges on a deal direct from HP. Business expenses and all. I'm 4550 pages on the black toner, been getting warnings for a year and yet to see streaking. I think I changed Cyan once maybe. Starting to worry I'll retire the printer and have to give away at least one toner cart.paqman said:The main thing you want to be looking for is the cost of replacing the toner.
