Smobot message / help

Hey everyone. Been a while. Not egged in ages but have a cook on now and my Smobot is playing up. Anyone know what this message is? I presume it’s a software update but it’s been on for about an hour. ‘Updating. Screen will shut off’

(Seperate issue: it wouldn’t connect to wifi and just said ‘connecting’ for about half an hour before this message appeared. It’s had trouble connecting to wifi before and I tried to set it up from scratch again but my phone / iPad won’t connect to the Smobot wifi)

I would try a hard reset.

Good to see you. I assume you can’t reach Smobot support because it’s Memorial Day, could be wrong, try reaching out to @reinhart36 , perhaps he can help.

Thanks @Canugghead. I thought this forum might be quicker than support! I’ll prob have to make do tonight - opening the lid and sticking a handheld probe in. Thankfully it’s not a long cook

Is that using a pin in the small hole?

- I just checked my unit and their cloud is up. Hope you get it figured out.
- On the web it says current firmware is 3.4 (2018). Will be interesting to find out what Curtis or Eric say.

Next to the power socket. I’ve never done it before but it’s worth a shot if your in a endless upload loop.

Thanks. I’ll reset it before the next time I use it. Managed to cook a fabulous 900g Hereford sirloin on the bone for me & wife, and a couple of steaks for the kids. Has encouraged me to use the egg more again - hadn’t used it for months
