Thanks @HeavyG for your Souper Cube recommendation

A while back @HeavyG responded to one of my posts about my storage of pizza sauce. His wise recommendation was to buy a product called Souper Cube available on Amazon. With me being a person who likes to make sauces and some things ahead and freeze them then these are EXCELLENT and allow you to store small quantities individually in your freezer and just “pop out” 1/4 or 1/2 cup pieces as needed. I first bought 2 of them and found them so handy that I just bought 2 more! Thanks, HeavyG!

Thanks.  I ment with your sauce in it.  Do you remove the sauce and bag it afterwards?  Or is it like ice cubes you have a bowl in the freezer with sauce squares in it.

Hmm. I usually seal the bottom of a bag, fill it with soup then place it upright in the freezer, pull it out later and vacuum seal

I hope you read the capacity.... As for removing? NO?.. No need to, I Just leave it in and pop out what 1 or 2 frozen chunks I want and slap the lid back on. Then merely defrost said sauce, or pre-cooked mushrooms for omelets. or cooked ground beef for pizza etc, or pizza sauce etc. Still no freezer burn, but these are not intended for months long frozen storage.

Cost is pretty steep for what it does, IMO.

Glad you find them useful @RRP.

@caliking - the Souper Cubes brand are kinda pricey but they are very well made and the metal frame and tight fitting lids make them pretty easy to handle. There are many vendors to choose from that are significantly cheaper but most of those (at least the ones I have and use) don't have a strengthened rim and the lids don't seal tightly. I've found those can be a bit tricky to maneuver into place in my bottom mounted freezer without spilling.

Every time I freeze a sauce I find the ziplock bag months later and can't remember what it was
