Dogwood, you can tell by the bark.

*Bradford Pear is what I think, considered invasive in some areas.

Maraschino cherry for sure...
Although I would lean toward Dogwood. Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
A pretty one with white blossoms. Glad I could help you out.Las Vegas, NV

Download Google Lens on your phone. It's an add on to your Google Browser. You take a picture od=f almost anything and it gives you the likely culprit. I use it all the time for flowers, bushes, and trees.Chris

Thank you for that info! I have several foundation plants added over the last 42 years and while we probably knew their names we have forgotten. Some I’d just as soon grub out with a hoe or spade! But others we would really like to add similar such plants.CP92 said:Download Google Lens on your phone. It's an add on to your Google Browser. Now before those desirable plants are gone from the local nursery I will do my best to identify them! THANKS for your help!

My wife has an app on her phone called ‘picture this’. You can take a pic of a plant and the app will identify it and tell you all about it. I highly recommend the app - we use it all the time when on walks or hikes and come across something we aren’t familiar with.Memphis, TN

I agree with @alaskanassasin. It’s definitely an oriental cherry tree of some variety~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

Ita similar to Bradford pear, but lucky for you it's not. New subdivisions like them because they grow fast, but then they split in half as the rot in the trunk and make a mess.

It's a flowering cherry. The bark makes it easy to identify as a cherry.

If you are after the Bradford pear look without the weak branches check out the Cleveland pear, same tree basically but more upright growth. If you get a chance smell the flowers of either, they smell like rotten eggs!South of Columbus, Ohio.

It sounds like it's cherry. Start sharpening the axe!"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan
