I'm Back

I've been off the forum for years mostly because life gets in the way and I had perfected the majority of things I cooked. But we had a new house built this year and in the move, the movers broke my LBGE. I was bummed, but at the end of the day... I was waiting to buy a new one until we had some hardscaping installed this winter, but my son-in-law surprised me with a new inbox LBGE for Christmas. I was beyond grateful. I'm still waiting for the hardscaping before setting it up, and back on the forum now to get some recommendations on the latest and greatest accessories. I know I'll be getting a new cap, multi-tiered grate system, high-flow charcoal grate and fire grate, along with likely some type of temperature controller. Any and all suggestions welcome. And yes, I'll be using the search function along the way. Glad to be back.

Welcome back! Rockswood and Smobot for the win.The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

Welcome back. Quite a gift right there. SIL definitely appreciates the value of keeping Daddy happy!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

@lousubcap he's been doing very well in his line of work of late. He owns a small collectable toy store and online presence. We've helped him a lot along the years and I think this is his way of saying thank you. He knows how bummed I was at losing my egg in the move. Plus he knows he'll get awesome brisket in return

@StillH2OEgger even the DIL dropped an "I expect a brisket next time I come over" and she seldom eats red meat, so I'm sure she was part of the decision-making process.
