My firebox is cracked and broken. My local dealer won't handle the replacement because they say BGE is so overrun (orders way behind. I assume pandemic related). I reached out to BGE directly and never heard back. Curious to know if there are those of you out there that have successfully used something else in place of the ceramic firebox that gives the same result in the way of keeping coals elevated for aeration. Other suggestions? Has anyone else experienced similar service delays lately?

I ordered a new firebox for my XL back in April and it took 2 weeks for it to get delivered to my local ACE. Good luck.

Keep the pressure on them. Talk to more than one dealer.Clinton, Iowa -
BGE was behind but seem to be catching up.
Can always try another dealer.
If your dealer won’t handle it, return the entire Egg and buy from another dealer.Or keep trying BGE direct.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas
