Young Gun,
My wife and I have always thought the following was one of the better BBQ sauces we have made. The advantage is it is available all over the country and not something local.[p]WEBER TANGY BARBECUE SAUCE[p]2 T butter
3 T chopped onion
½ C chopped celery
2 T granulated sugar
2 T vinegar
1 T Worcesterwshire sauce
¼ C lemon juice
½ C catsup
½ C chili sauce
1 t dry mustard
Salt and pepper[p]Melt butter in a skillet and cook onion and celery until tender. Add the remaining ingredients and cook to blend flavors, 15 – 20 min. Makes 2 cups.

Martini Man,[p]I agree, it's one of my favorite sauces. Did you ever try his "Super Pyro" sauce? Wow is it hot...still tasty, but hot. [p]Chuck

Young Gun,
I second that recommendation as I too keep this on hand year around and have now for nearly 6 years! BTW there are a few open points in that recipe as for quantities that perhaps I can help you with - at least what has worked for me. First it calls for 2 cups or 16 oz of tomato paste. Since every brand sold here comes in 6 oz cans I just use 3 cans and that works fine. Also I do use the optional Kitchen Bouquet and at 2 T of it. Then for heat I prefer 1 tea of chipotle and 2 T of chili powder. BTW you can freeze this sauce with good success though it does not get rock hard.
