I don't think I've seen this sharpener mentioned here before, pretty clever idea and would be good for beginners (I have no financial relationship to the manufacturer).

That's been around a few years. There's probably a dozen makes out there that are riffs on the Edge Pro Apex style of guided angle sharpener.Clamped blade systems have their pros and cons.Worksharp has a new sharpener - their Work Sharp® Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener™. I think it's in the $60 range. Might also be a good choice for someone wanting a clamped guided angle system.

I've watched a couple knife channels on YouTube try out this new Work Sharp Precision. They're generally pleased with it when all said and done. They both agreed it's not the same as the higher end versions of it but it's the best bang for your buck for what you get.
