Turkey Breast Spatchcock

Since it’s only 3 of us this year, we are just doing a large turkey breast. Is there any advantage to spatchcocking a breast or just do regular.
Thanks!

I've never tried spatchcocking a turkey breast. If you are doing a turkey breast, go check out the Aaron Franklin method, simple and delish!

I spatchcocked a turkey breast section last fall because they were cheap. Anyway, i think flattening it made it easier to handle as well as cooking faster and more evenly. FWIW

I cooked a boneless turkey breast tonight using the Franklin method. It was outstanding. I don't believe I will ever cook a whole turkey again, we really only eat the breast anyway. I have ordered a 4-5 pound boneless breast to cook for Thanksgiving, hopefully it will turn out good.TideEggHead said:I've never tried spatchcocking a turkey breast.
