Conveggtor fit ?

Just got a new large egg my neighbor already has one his spacer above the fire ring base wide notches for the plate setter to sit in mine does not .and I think I’ve seen some that have locating grooves to set it in can someone explain what this is all about?

New design....used to be 5 divots, then 3 notches, now smooth. My guess is the plate setter design will be changing.

Welcome to the forum. It will work fine. I have a 3 leg plate setter on a 4 divot with no problem.

The new fire ring does not have notches. I got my XL BGE three months ago ... no notches.
