Pizza Party

2 close friends came over for an afternoon and evening of drinking and pizzas.

They made the dough yesterday. I made the toppings. We all assembled and cooked three pizzas yesterday. Plate setter legs up, main grate, and glazed pizza stone. 475*. First up was The Appollonia Pie inspired by this;

Salami, eggs, sea salt, cracked black pepper, fresh chopped garlic, fresh mozzarella, basil, Parmesan. Very good.

Next up was The Delia inspired by this;

I slow roasted the grape tomatoes with olive oil, garlic, and sea salt. I made the bacon jam with bacon, shallots, olive oil garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, hot hogie pepper relish, sugar, white wine, red wine, and white vinegar. The pizza also has arugula and parsean and drizzle of olive oil at the end. Very good as well.

Next came the Gramma’s Special. A pizza patterned after a local pizza place A N.Y. Slice. Crushed San Mariano style tomatoes, fresh chopped garlic, mozzarella, olive oil. A simple, but tasty pie.

To cap the night we roasted marshmallows. Drinks included lots of white wine and homemade whiskey and gingers. I made fresh ginger juice, added simple syrup, lime, bourbon, and club soda. Good fun and safe night with great friends.

I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.
