Poultry smell after cooking

Anyone else ever experience a freshwater/wet dog smell with their chicken after grilling? It I experience this mostly with breasts (Only when cooking them without the lemon/garlic/OO marinade) and sometimes whole chickens. I had it on chicken breasts tonight and I’m wondering why. The dates good too. 24th of this month.

No. Fresh. And it’s weird. Didn’t affect the taste at all. Never does. But I’ve had it before. I wondering if it’s a reaction between the Cavender’s greek seasoning I used and the chicken.Mattman3969 said:Frozen? -
I’ve heard that some white pepper brands will have the wet dog smell. But never experienced it myself. Did the seasoning have any WP in it?-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

I have definitely had same experience. It always turns out good but was concerned at the start. Wings egged last weekend, Whew they smelled ripe! Turned out great!! Thanks to my excellent skills. I think it has to be the packaging. My 3 cents. You can’t get to Loganville, Ga from anywhere. You have to start somewhere else

Sometimes I wonder if it’s when they leave all that extra chicken “juice” when they package the meat.RiverBBQ said:I have definitely had same experience.
