No Receipt Warranty Question

Hey everyone. I got my egg maybe 7 or 8 years ago and have no idea what happened to the receipt in that time. My firebox cracked and the ring that goes above it has a hairline crack. The place I got my egg from is no longer in business so I'm not even sure what I should do. Am I s.o.l. when it comes to having to have these items replaced? If so, are there any third party brands that are not quite as expensive? Have a great day!

My retailer has never asked for a receipt. I would try another local dealer if there is one. Good luck.

My dealer asked me for my receipt for both warranty claims I have done through them.

Not sure how long credit card companies keep records but could be worth a shot calling yours to see if they can provide proof of purchase. That is if you paid by CC and the dealer you go to absolutely requires a receipt.

    Good luck..

Yeah- same issue here, my original dealer is no longer selling eggs. I somewhere along the line misplaced my receipt but, really don’t understand why they need. I sent BGE a copy of the receipt when I registered my egg after purchase. Frustrating experience as I have some hairline cracks developing in my base.

I've never been asked for a receipt. Just serial number and pics.

Pro Tip: Snap a picture of your receipt and store it in the cloud via Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, something. That way you know you'll have it and it won't fade over time like the thermal receipt will

If it was registered and the next dealer gives you an issue. Contact the mothership.
