Love the Mini & this Set Up! - Mini BGE Table & Charcoal Storage Boxes
A table on wheels sure beats lifting & carrying. My cousin & I designed the table, but he
built it. And, it has lasted for many years. The air tight plastic bins are
long & shallow so a bag of charcoal can be easily sorted & stored by
size. The hooks are for bungee cords used to hold down a rain cover. With a
little imagination, the mini can cook for many folks. I use it most of time vs my Large. Gets ready
to cook fast (lite coals with MAPP torch), uses minimal charcoal & cleans
up quick too. With a little imagination, the mini easily handles cooks for multiple
people / guests. And, you can take it anywhere. Love my Large BGE too, but the
value of the Mini is huge.

It looks nice. It seems like it would be more stable if you took the castors off of it, and perhaps built in some handles where two people could move it.
How likely is it to tip over if someone falls? Or how easy is it to tip if you're pushing it instead of pulling it? will a small concrete gap send it? -
Cool design, it looks like it has stood up well for that mini. Man, that's an older mini , awesome to see one like that still standing.

Have always wanted one, but I think I’d be risking divorce if I bought another Egg. I am envious of your setup.

Check under that stone periodically to make sure the wood below isn't charring......that stone below the egg base is not an insulator, it's a conductor.

slick setup, love the mini

Thanks for comments. No problems with charring, tipping over or anything else- been going strong 15+ years.

Btw, not to call you out or anything, but you talk about serving multiple people but have not included any cooking pics. Let’s see the Mini in action!

I guess the mini doesn't generate as much heat mass as a large like this one:CTB said:Thanks for comments. No problems with charring, tipping over or anything else- been going strong 15+ years.

Here's the stone under the Mini

From 2 nights ago...

Filet Mignon - 2" thick. As for serving multiple guests (up to a point)… Thick cuts of anything fit+ feeds more people.. And, as you know, steak for example isn’t actually on the BGE very long - quick sear, rest & then bake at 350 for a few minutes. If needed additional steaks can be cooked for multiple guests during the rest period of the 1st batch. Fish filets, large lobster tails, many items cook quickly too. If a 1st batch gets a bit cool, reheat quickly before serving. Of course, there are limitations with a mini but many advantages too.
