Rutland Gasket for an XL

Hey folks, I've googled around about replacing my gasket and I see lots of recommendations for the Rutland. But it seems that most of the descriptions are for a Large. Is the 7 ft long Rutland Inc Gasket Kit I see for sale on Amazon long enough for the XL?
Thanks for any advice

No, Sir, 7 foot won’t hack it for an XL. I’m hiding in plain open sight if you want to send me a PM.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
84" for the XL is what I usually cut off.....that's 7 ft.

Yes, thanks for understanding my question. It wasn't clear to me how much "bunching" was occurring so I wasn't sure of the full length neededjtcBoynton said:

Thanks again for all the quick replies -
That will work for an XL if all you are doing is sticking the Rutland into the adhesive. Instead I recommend "bunching" as I call it in order to make that 5/8" Rutland both wider and thicker. For that reason I recommend 108" - that's 9 ft - for an XL.stlcharcoal said:84" for the XL is what I usually cut off.....that's 7 ft.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
This reminds me of the numerous horses I have figuratively led to the river to drink. I have drowned quite a few horses trying to get them to drink.
