My wife officially thinks I’m nuts now but when you see a good deal you have to jump on it! Anyone have any idea why she doesn’t understand??? 😂😂 Was a one day sale at Ace Hardware online with free shipping to a local store. I caught it 30 minutes before midnight and sale was over. Otherwise I would have posted !!!

It was a one day only 20% off total order which brought it to about $23.00 a bag. I’ve seen better but I was on last 1/3 of a bag. Usually early to midsummer Rockwood will specifically go on sale at Ace and you can get it for near twenty. I bought a whole pallet last summer, I think it was 30 bags. I'm down to 15, gonna have to go see @stlcharcoal again soon and get another pallet.

By the pallet is the best deal if you have a commercial dock to ship to. The shipping drops to 1/2 if you buy 2 pallets!

I have a system. I tell @pgprescott I need a bag of Rockwood, and ask him to put it in my trunk, while I go pay his boss at the counter. I go shoot the breeze with her and sometimes I forget to pay.

Found this old photo......something like 3000 bags in the old warehouse circa 2013'ish.

This was the very first truckload in the RW bags from May 2013.....the old blank "secret charcoal" bags are on the left.
That door in the background was a train door. There were tracks on the far left to pull 4-5 boxcars into this warehouse. It was something like 800,000 square feet and brand new--a company built it to stage parts for the Chrysler plant next door, but then the plant shut down before they ever moved in. So it was basically empty and I rented this tiny little corner of it. @henapple came by to see it one time, it actually had some other stuff in it by then though.
