What about Misen

I keep seeing adds for Misen, but don't know anything about them (or many other knives for that matter). I am sure they aren't as good as Shun, but are they forth $53?

I have a set from the original kickstarter... I like them, sharpen a couple times a year...Southlake, TX and Cowhouse Creek - King, TX. 2 Large, 1 Small and a lot of Eggcessories.

Love my Chef's knife from Misen! Keep looking at adding to the collection, but haven't pulled the trigger yet...Kansas City: Too Much City for One State - Missouri side
2 Large BGE's, Instant Pot, Anova Sous Vide, and a gas smoker...
Barbeque, Homebrew and Blues... -
They are legit. That alloy is great, price low for what you get.______________________________________________I love lamp..

I got the chef knife from their Kickstarter campaign. It's a decent knife. If you pinch grip, the bolster on their knife is about the most comfortable I've come across.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

Good question. I look forward to responses. Maybe I can buy both!.Wolfpack said:Anyone use their nonstick pans? -
I have not. That said, I would not spend too much money on a nonstick pan as they have a finite lifespan vs regular SS pans. Buy what commercial kitchens buy.SmokeyLopey said:

I do like their sauce pan. The rounded bottom makes total sense with using wisks, spoons, etc.______________________________________________I love lamp.. -
Thanks @nolaegghead --sounds like good advice.

Thanks to everyone for your input. I ordered a knife a few mins ago...but have to admit falling prey to paying near sticker price, following a pop-up ad, for a paring knife. On a more positive note, freight was free! Stay tuned....
