Will Sweating Damage The Egg?

I am concerned about the sweating that occurs occasionally with my BGE Large. Does this sweating "damage" in any way the BGE? How do I prevent this from happening in the future? Thanks in advance for any information!

sweating gets the moisture out of the ceramics which is a good thing. had one egg freeze with alot of moisture and the exterior lifted off the base about a 1/4 inch thick on the wall thickness and you could peel 1 foot sections off. the sweating occurs when not lighting enough in really wet conditions. my large sweats aggressively every spring on the first big cook, whole base will form a dark brown bark around it
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -

I know I sweat when cooking over a full grill in July 😆 but have never seen my XL sweat in the 5 years I owned it. Outside looks like a new one!

A little sweat never hurt anyone.Wow, that is quite the sight! My large will sweat a little if it's been raining a bunch and I haven't used it in a bit. I try to avoid long periods of not using the egg though.😁NC - LBGE -

I have not but I would warranty that. I’d also remove that Smokeware cap in the pics you send them just to remove any doubt of rejection for using a non OEM piece on the egg (especially with the damage so close to it).BillyLove said:
