Costco Road Show Pricing

Does anyone know the pricing details of the KJ Road Show at
Costco? I would like to compare prices to Black Friday deals for BGE, but the
road show won’t be at my local Costco until early December. I am looking to upgrade to an XL.

A local hardware store has an ad for "XL Starter Kit" for $1350, valid 11/29-12/1. I expect more ads in Thursday paper.piney said:Where are you finding Black Friday deals on BGE?

Just remember, any KJ's you see at Costco are going to be Gen II's.
If you want a Gen III, you have to go to a dealer. -
And if you aren't buying a Gen III then why would you get a KJ instead of an EGG?stlcharcoal said:Just remember, any KJ's you see at Costco are going to be Gen II's.

or you get lucky like me and get one in black for $550. dealer had one that he used for a demo cook once and then was sitting in his storage area with the furniture.stlcharcoal said:

I guess it is Gen I, possibly II. Not sure of the differences. But it came with two 1/2 moon stones and that setup for raised direct/indirectBoom -
The Gen1's used to come with that. Then when the Gen2's came out, they used that same D&C system, but put the straight grate and old fire box/ring back in the Gen1's......and that's what you'll now see at Lowe's, HD, Amazon, etc.FanOfFanboys said:

Add up a XL with nest, side tables, plate setter, eggfringer, cover, ash tool, gripper, and it's going to be at or over that (even on sale.)speed51133 said:wow, that isn't cheap at all! -
I guess I always forget how much an XL goes for since I got my XL for 600ish...XL BGE and Kamado Joe Jr.
-
All that stuff is still cheaper than the new KJ. Not the old one, granted.stlcharcoal said:

Yeah...back in "the good ole days" you used to be able to get a first generation Big Joe (XL) at a Costco Roadshow for $999. And, if you agreed to buy the floor model they would also include a free Joe Jr. in the deal.speed51133 said:wow, that isn't cheap at all!

Just noticed this on the front page at amazon - KJ Classic II for just $717 !!Deal ends in 6 hours (at time of this posting). That's a hard to beat deal.

I went to the local road show yesterday. $1500 for Big Joe and as noted above, they are Gen II models.stlcharcoal said:Add up a XL with nest, side tables, plate setter, eggfringer, cover, ash tool, gripper, and it's going to be at or over that (even on sale.)
I decided to stay with my 18" grill, but did pick up a JoeTisserie for ~$180.
