I've used one of these for 2-3 years with no problem but you guys have scared me into going with some sort of pronged scraper.

Good reminder thread topic. I use a putty knife or the follow on fire to clean the grid/grate (whatever the correct name).
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Hot grill. I use an old towel soaked in water. Works great for me

Two foil balls. One in one hand to keep the grid from rotating, the other to do the scrubbing. Don't remember the last time I had to replace them. Been a while though. Works best on a warm grid.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
