For Sale: XL Big Green Egg with custom 76” Challenger Cart and accessories.

For sale is an XL BGE and a custom ordered 76” Challenger cart that is fully optioned. The cart has two slide out drawers on each weather sealed side door with a shelf in the center (I removed the shelf on the right side to allow for full bag of lump storage on the bottom slide out box but will be included).
The weatherproof compartment directly under the grill has a slide out that is perfect for storing the plate setter and XL Pizza Stone. The cart also has locking swivel casters on all corners.
please see the photo of the back as there is powder coating peeling along the back. The challenger cart is in good shape otherwise and perfect for those who like to grill year round in extreme climates. This grill cart was almost 5k alone when new.
Included with this sale are:
XL Big Green Egg
76” Challenger cart fully optioned
XL pizza stone
XL plate setter
Smokeware adjustable dome
XL Kick-Ash basket
XL Table Nest
Located in Central Illinois. I will not ship it, but will work with a shipper of your choice on your dime with pickup if need be. Make sure they are insured.

What made you decide to get rid of it?XLBGE, LBGE, MBGE, SMALL, MINI, 2 Kubs, Fire Magic Gasser

That's a very good price for what you have. Someone will be getting a real bargain.Cincinnati, Ohio. Large BGE since 2011. Still learning.
-
It’s been a great setup. I also have a small BGE in nest that I haven’t listed on here yet. I’ve purchased a few Komodo Kamado Serious Big Bad 42s for an outdoor kitchen build.td66snrf said:What made you decide to get rid of it?

@Sgt93 Congrats on the KK buys. Definitely running in an orbit I can only dream about. Have fun with the build project.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
What caused the powder coat to peel?
-
When they did not have an in-house powder coat they used an external company and needless to say, there was a flaw. I had no idea it was even there until I moved it off of my deck and saw the back. No biggie.Tspud1 said:What caused the powder coat to peel?XL BGE - Small BGE - A few Komodo Kamado Serious Big Bad 42sFollow me on Instagram: @SSgt93 -
Here's hoping this sells quickly for you. If I had a reason to get something that big I would be at your doorstep with a truck in no time flat.Cincinnati, Ohio. Large BGE since 2011. Still learning.

Thank you. There is a lot of interest but distance has been the factor. It will sell. It’s sitting in my garage waiting for it’s new owner.OhioEgger said:Here's hoping this sells quickly for you. If I had a reason to get something that big I would be at your doorstep with a truck in no time flat.

Beautiful setup, great price. I wish I had space to give it a new home!Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Might think about splitting up XL and tableThank you,DarianGalveston Texas

I’ve thought about it but the interest is out there and I’d rather do it all at once instead of dealing with multiple people. If push comes to shove I may break it up. Thanks for the input.Photo Egg said:Might think about splitting up XL and tableXL BGE - Small BGE - A few Komodo Kamado Serious Big Bad 42sFollow me on Instagram: @SSgt93 -

Got time for a quick comparo? KK VS EGG. Does it take a long time to heat those beasts up?
South of Columbus, Ohio. -
We are definitely getting off topic here, but I use a MAP torch and can get anything to temp quickly. Since the KK uses refractory cement (used in nuclear power plants), it retains heat like nothing I’ve ever seen and is as efficient as it gets. The BGE is the platform that started my love for the kamado style grills and I’m thankful for that. I wanted to keep using kamado grills as I love them.alaskanassasin said:Got time for a quick comparo? KK VS EGG. Agreed. Hope there’s something else for weekday cooks. I bet that much thermal mass takes forever to heat up. Probably 30# of lump at a minimum to fill it. Definitely nice grills especially when you’ve got a crowd over.speed51133 said:Those are some serious grills!
I like the clean lines on that pool too. Nice. -
There is an amazing basket system where you can either dump a bag of lump in or change it down to a smaller size for smaller cooks etc. I routinely cook for my family of 3 so I cook small often, however; I also throw some parties and will fill the pool and grills. You should see the rotisserie basket for it; absolutely massive unit. Being able to do true dual zone temp with 3 huge levels of space is pretty cool as well.DoubleEgger said:
