Finally Building a Table

Hello Everyone, 

Haven’t been on in awhile but I try to “lurk” when I get time. Been planning this for awhile and it finally started coming to fruition. Lucked upon a low priced Large KJ last year and couldn’t pass it up. My old table that my Medium BGE sits in has seen much better days so I decided I needed something new for both of them to rest in. Started putting this together about a week ago and been tinkering in my free time. Getting anxious and spent all day today working on it. Ran out of screws and need a few more boards so I will have to make a supply run tomorrow so I stopped for tonight. Here’s my progress so far. I’m anxious to get this done! Just thought I would share with you. Take care all! Sorry! Pics are out of order

    looking good. make sure you save room for an air gap, i can recommend this table nest personally.  Can't wait to see the finished product.

    Thanks Kent! Sadly too many things came up and the table sat for awhile. Been back to work on it last couple days between little fires I had to put out and this is my progress so far. Don’t have the table top fastened down yet. Debating on using pocket holes to hide all the screws. I would like to put this up against my house on my patio to help keep it out of the wind but I’m curious if anyone else has done this and how far away from the exterior wall do you put your table if so? I have vinyl siding so melting my house would be a big NoNo. Otherwise I have to cut the holes, sand and stain, then set the grills in. Loving it so far! It’s been a long time coming

    I've been working on a much smaller table project for 2 years now. But I'm determined to finish it before the year is done! Your thread inspires me :)

    @NightwingXP. I would keep it away from the vinyl.   Years ago my gaser warped the vinyl a bit.   Up until last year I had the Mini Max about 3 feet from the vinyl and noticed it was getting dirty from the smoke and had to be cleaned, moved it away a bit and it's Ok now.  

    Great looking table, looking forward to the finished setup.

    As usual there’s always something getting in the way so progress is a little slowed once again. I did manage to get the boards cut to length for the top though. Just have to fasten them down, sand, and stain this Pig. She’s a little heavy 😆
