Ordering parts for the green egg
I have a large green egg that was purchased 5-8 years ago and the flat piece that the charcoal is placed on ( with holes ) is ceramic or a clay type material that cracked in half about 3 years ago. I tried glue however it keeps breaking. What is the cost of the new piece ( I purchased my 2nd green egg and the piece was made of steel) as well as the felt strip around the lip of the green egg that the lid closes onto is deteriorated. What is the cost of these two items as the dealer is no longer in business ( Mallard Hardware) in Rock Hill. thanks Ralph

Ralph Norman,[p]Call the BGE Retail store and they could ship you a fire grate for your large. Their number is 770-934-5300. Or look on the website to find the nearest dealer close to you.

Ralph Norman,
For your grate go to a hardware or lumber store and purchase a cast iron drain cover in the correct size. Will set you back about $5.00
