Kalamazoo Kamado
I see Kalamazoo has entered the kamado market. I guess if you already have a $25,000 Kalamazoo gas grill another $6K for their kamado is no big deal.

You think it's not likely that they have tested and engineered for that?fishlessman said:would like to see it at 1200 degrees, that ss is gonna buckle good on the interior

Maybe it’s got asbestos internals or something?fishlessman said:would like to see it at 1200 degrees, that ss is gonna buckle good on the interiorFlint, Michigan -
I dont get how you'll get enough airflow through with those two little intakes and two little exhausts. That's like draft door half open and daisy wheel petals only.

I knew this was going to be expensive before I opened the thread.

thats not a good choice of materials at those temps, a sales guy chose the material, not an engineer.

The three level fire grate system seems interesting.LBGE, LBGE-PTR, 22" Weber, Coleman 413GGreat Plains, USA

You got me curious. I found this reference in a review:fishlessman said:would like to see it at 1200 degrees, that ss is gonna buckle good on the interior
Weighing more than 200 pounds, the Shokunin is constructed of 304-grade stainless steel. The mass of the metal and the two inches of insulation built into the design retains interior heat to more than 1200° Fahrenheit, yet keeps the grill’s exterior cool to the touch. The grill is accented with an ipe wood frame and handles, giving it a furniture-like quality. Accessory shelves and trays clip onto the frame for convenience.
