Get a table nest. That stone will transfer the heat directly to the wood. No bueno. The nest will probably raise the egg enough to allow the hinge to work.

I have the green feet on it already. How much higher is the table nest than the feet?

Nest is 1.75 inches tall.

You could add some pucks under the feet too.

Hit your dealer and grab the nest elevation number but I would guess you will gain at least an inch plus of BGE height. No table or tavle nest here but before any sawing/wrenching it's an easy option. FWIW-

Lowe's sells 16x16x4 paver stones. With the green feet on top of that you will get the air gap you need, and should have the height that you need for the hinge.

I had a paver under the egg on my old table. I think the difference in thickness between that, and the granite replacement, along with the thicker wood on the new table, cheated me out of an inch or so of clearance.

The granite is staying. I’ll figure something else out, but I can’t go back to a paver.

Here is my old table, which I cut apart to get the egg out. I have a degree in heat transfer.

Put some 2 x 4's underneath the granite. Does it open now? If not go up in half or three quarter inch increments until it does open. Problem #1 solved. You can cook. And you know you need another inch and a half or whatever it is. Now you have time to decide on a permanent fix.

Or pavers under the granite. You'll only see the granite.
