I'd imagine that's a good deal. Have they registered it for warranty?  Receipt?

FWIW:  minimax from my local dealer is $509
I'd ask him where he got it and if it's from a local dealer, then I'd ck
with that dealer to see if he'd would honor a new in box warranty from this transaction.
Looks like quite a few BGE dealers close by:

  • i think thats a super deal, you know you won't find one at a dealer for that price so its a no brainer for me.  At that price if something would happen to it, its disposable toss it and look for another deal.  I bought mine the same way from a guy who had one never used but assembled.  he won it at work and didn't have the papers on it.  no big deal to me. I snatched it up and i am enjoying it.  I say go for it.

I’d do it. How does the seller know it offers no warranty? The serial number is stamped inside the egg. If they haven’t opened it, they haven’t registered it. Plus at that cost you can afford a cracked ring or box. A cracked base could sour the deal depending on replacement cost.

Thanks for the input. Ended up paying $360 and also received a bag of charcoal, a big green cook book, starter cubes and an ash tool. Seemed fair.

Excellent. I've had my MM for several years and it's my main work horse. No cracks. I also have 2 large BGEs. 1 got a cracked base and both have cracked fire boxes. I don't see you needing the warranty like you would on a large.
PS, there was an issue with the carrier. The handles would come loose as you moved it. Look into what handles you have before trusting the carrier.
