    Thanks,
I'm a pastry guy and typically wait until cooler weather for baking. I've been trying more traditional oven baked pastries on the egg this summer. Crust was identical to my oven baked crusts. I didn't add any smoke when the pie was baked. Taste just like the oven pies but this was more fun on the egg.
Only thing missing was some icecream....

Ate the wings and a slice of pie. Now to visit the neighbors to give away the pie. They have several teenagers and they can burn thru the calories way better than myself.

This was my first pie on the mini. The factory BGE stone was perfect for a single pie. Next up will be a smoked pecan pie.

I have made over 100 pecan pies. Coworkers request them over the holidays. They can't buy them as good. It's a simple recipe with outstanding flavor. Not one of those 'so sweet that your teeth hurt' pies.
    1 cup light brown sugar
    1/4 cup white sugar
    1/2 cup butter
    2 eggs
    1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
    1 tablespoon milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup chopped pecans
    Preheat oven to 350° F
In a large bowl, mix the brown sugar, white sugar, flour and mix well. Add melted butter and mix well. Break eggs in a small container and mix lightly. Add to large bowl and combine. Last add the milk, vanilla and nuts. Leave mix to relax to help remove air bubbles. Not required but if mixture was worked hard, it will have a lot of trapped air.
Pour into an unbaked 9-in pie shell.
    15 minutes @ 350° then reduce temperature
50 minutes @ 300° until top cracks slightly.

    Stealing your pecan pie recipe.

Perfect. I never cared for pecan pie with Karo syrup. This and my cinnamon rolls are my two most requested items.

Sad to say but I've been getting a bit tired of wings. I bought 40 pounds ($2.00/pound) and had wings several times last week. Maybe I bought too many for one person???
