Help - unable to close my egg

I've been cooking on this egg for well over a decade with no issue. Had a rack of ribs on today, and lifted to wrap them, and was unable to close the top dome of the egg.

Any thoughts on how I can fix this without cracking/breaking it?

Thanks, in advance!

Had the same deal mid-cook.  Wish I could be more precise but I loosened any bolt/nut deal on the hinge and got the dome to shut in a matter of minutes-basically took the spring resistance out of the equation.
After the dust settled and the cook was history I went back to figure out to get the springs to be involved with the dome.  Wrenching for a bit and all is now well.

In addition to above, you may want to spray some lubricant on those hinges - looks like you have a little rust.
