Do eggs cook at a higher boiling point?

Got an insta pot for quick meals. Got to wondering if an egg built up a little pressure inside it would work as a pressure cooker of sorts. Is this possible? Or more importantly, is this possible to measure? (I might play an engineer irl)

Fire needs oxygen. Not sure how that could work.jimdgreat1 said:Got an insta pot for quick meals. You would have to seal it better to build pressure.

hmmmm . . . I'm thinking that an air source needed for the lump to burn, it would be difficult to make an air tight chamber to build up any kind of pressure and still have an air supply for the lump.Lrg 2008

I'm guessing you are referring to a real egg as opposed to a BGE. Given the way water responds to increased pressure, in a closed system (the egg) as you increased pressure then the boiling point will go up. Like the way the boiling point of water increases as the altitude drops. Now if you mean BGE- no way to get a closed system with it. That's my story ...

I wondered if the updraft from the fire would draw in air with enough force to create a very small increase of pressure. Not talking about 5 psi but more like <1 psi.I just looked up the pressure to boiling point ratio and 3 psi is only 221 degrees. So a very slight increase in pressure wouldn't have much effect.
