    The anodizing is a very thin layer which can be scratched off actually pretty easily. I have anodized cookware and only cook eggs with it and never scrub it and only use silicone utensils on it. Not just my idea but manufacturer recommendations. I just don't see how that thing will last.

    Come on, I'm not avoiding all aluminum like the plague, but on something exposed to 400-800 degree temps that gets scraped, graded, scored, and rubbed with food, yeah, I wouldn't mind avoiding it. Not only for health but mostly for longevity. That annodizing is only about .005in thick maximum. Could be way less, depends how the manufacturer specs it.
