I think the pleasant feeling of nostalgia when eating them supersedes the level of hot dog superiority in taste they have against the average all-beef hot dog that doesn't have such a storied history.

Now if they would just push a little bit further north into the DFW all would be well. Yeah, I know we have Central Market (the gourmet HEB) but it just ain't the same and I'm too lazy to drive all the way over to Plano.
