Can a Digi Q be used on the small big green egg? I have a digi q and use it for my large.

Im a veteran user of the BGE.  Love it.  Have 2 and considering an XXL. My question is...Can a digi q be used on the small big green egg?  I use it for my large.  But the size of the 'vent' in the small BGE does appear to fit with the digi q.  Also as far as the small BGE, has anyone ever 'smoked' a pork butt or brisket on it with a plate setter?  Was temp hard to regulate without a digi q?

Thanks,

I have used the CyberQ on the small.  They have an adapter that fits the small.  I have cooked a pork butt on the small, had to raise the thermometer so that it did not push into the meat.  Small is deep enough to hold enough lump for a butt or brisket, just fill it up!  I did a pork butt without the digiQ, I have a Small Woo from the Ceramic Grill store, so have not tried it with a platesetter.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Yes - you can easily smoke a butt on a SBGE.  I have done it many times without a temp controller and also with a SMOBOT.  I think the largest I have done on the small was about 8 or 9 lbs. good advice above about the thermo.  I use the CGS woo/stone, so I can’t comment on the platesetter, but see no reason it wouldn’t work fine.  You may need to use foil to protect protein hanging over the three exposed areas of the platesetter.
