Mini Accessories

It has been quite a while since I have posted, but I have been watching and gathering tips and tricks for the best Eggsperience. I have recently acquired a BGE Mini that is in good shape but is well used. There is no platesetter, there are some rusted screws for the band, and the band is missing one spring. I am wondering if anybody out there in EggLand have any accessories for the Mini that they are not using and would like to sell. I am specifically looking for the Woo that will fit the Mini. I am also looking for one or 2 springs.
For my large, I have the Adjustable rig, spider, SmokeWare cap and SmoBot. I use them all the time. I am finding that accessories are no longer made for the Mini since most people go with the MiniMax.
I can find an entire band assembly on Ebay, but I thought I would reach out to the community and see what is available. I am not asking for anything for free, just looking to help clean out a closet if need be!

Can you post a photo?
You have me a little confused about springs on a Mini.
Here is a diagram.

I am at work, so I am trying to get better photos. Here is what I have so far. Now that you post that band assembly instructions, I am wondering if maybe I got a small rather than a Mini. It is rather tall and not squat like the pictures I have seen. I am measuring the grate size to be sure.
The one that I have, does have springs on the back. It is a similar band to the one on my Large before they were replaced with the newest style.

That’s a small egg. I bought a woo from the ceramic grill store for mine. The small band only has one spring.

As @cookingdude555 said, defiantly a Small BGE and the band looks incredibly clean. No issues or need to replace. Only 1 spring on the Small.MemRubes said:I am at work, so I am trying to get better photos. Here is what I have so far. Even better deal Small vs Mini.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Wow! This is great news! I apparently got an even better deal than I thought. $225 with the rolling nest. No platesetter. I guess that since this is a small, I can do my shopping on the Ceramic Grill Store. I do notice that when it is closed, it pulls slightly to the left. I had assumed that was b/c of the missing spring, but you have assured me it is not. Thank you!!

The bands look like they get a little closer to each other on the front from we can see in the picture. Some adjustment may be needed to get that even. This may be why it’s pulling to one side.MemRubes said:Wow! This is great news! I apparently got an even better deal than I thought. $225 with the rolling nest. No platesetter. Here are a couple of more pictures of the band. Again, thank you for any and all advice!

Add a couple drops of oil on the moving joints of the band.MemRubes said:Wow! This is great news! I apparently got an even better deal than I thought. $225 with the rolling nest. No platesetter. You should be good to go.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Wonderful! Any need to replace the rusted nuts? Or if they ain't broke, don't fix 'em?
-
Wipe the band and hinge with a lightly oiled rag. Couple drops of oil on the moving hinge spots.MemRubes said:Wonderful! Any need to replace the rusted nuts? Or if they ain't broke, don't fix 'em?
Spray your main 2 band bolts and let them sit a few hours and then snug them up to make sure they are tight on the base and dome.
Don't mess with others unless you feel you have to.
Adding a Woo and a pizza stone as your indirect and you are set...Nice score!Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
My Small BGE has only one spring, the Mini BGE has no springs. Just a little maintenance and you should be go to go!! Congratulations!XL, Large, 2 Small's and Mini BGE Arlington Texas

Agree - don’t bother with a platesetter. Get the CGS woo and stone Combo. I would get the CGS drip pan while you are at it. My small BGE is my fovarite grill since getting the CGS stuff.Memphis, TN

Disposable aluminum pie pans are great as well for drip pans. Cheap from restaurant supply or Amazon. Great fit on the Small with Woo.mEGG_My_Day said:Agree - don’t bother with a platesetter. Woo ring with or without handles? What are your thoughts?
-
This is just a judgement call on your side.MemRubes said:Woo ring with or without handles? What are your thoughts?
I have 2 w/o handles. I like to use my tongs to spin the cooking grid 180 deg to even out my cook as I'm cooking. Having the handle you would need to spin the entire Woo Ring. But it's also really nice being able to grab the handles and lift out the entire Rig to add lump or what ever.
Also, ask Tom to add 3 nuts to the lower ring. You can then add carriage bolts to raise the Woo higher. Kinda puts the Woo on adjustable stilts.
Photos below is one Tom made for me to hold the Weber adjustable inserts.

I have been trying to find a table nest for the small BGE, but I haven't had much luck. Seems it is not made for a small and the only way to do it is to modify the rolling nest. Any options?
