XL, L, & Med for sale in Utah

If any Utah eggers are looking for a used XL, L, or Medium, let me know.  I am selling a few eggs to make room for a bigger egg B) .  I will be putting them on KSL and Facebook next week (after that pesky $500 Large sells to eliminate the competition).  Send me a PM if interested and we can talk.

What egg are you getting? I would have a hard time selling my medium.  I love that egg.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

We had a “radio auction” last month, and a local dealer sold his floor model XXL with accessories.  I heard hi bid was $1700.  Someone got a deal.

That's a really good deal, especially if it was the XXL.  The 2XL is shorter, weighs less, and is less costly at $1999 MSRP instead of $3999 MSRP like the XXL.  I have talked to my dealer, and he will be giving me a better deal than MSRP.

I wish BGE would have named the XXL something different, it has caused so much confusion on which egg is which when they released the 2XL a year ago as a follow up to the XXL.

Is there a difference in a xxl and a 2xl BGE?I’ve never understood why they made clothes in xxl and 2xl either.

lol, yes.  The XXL was a special edition.  Very heavy, limited run, only 1000 of them.  About two years later (2018), they released the 2XL.  The cooking grid is the same size at 29" diameter, but it is more shallow than the XXL, and weighs a lot less because of it.

Lets hope not.  @billt01, you look like you had quite an arsenal of smokers, got tired of the electric and offset?  What do you like best?

I hope you have luck. It seems things are trending, "Mo Egg = Mo Problems"

You hardly ever hear about a large cracking, mostly only XL's.  There are too few XXL's to substantiate my theory.

As far as what I like most, I love my eggs for family dinners where a larger footprint is not needed. I will say the gravity fed smokers run and maintain temp easier. The Cookshack didn't inject enough smoky goodness to the proteins for my taste.

If you have the coin Stumpville is putting out some pretty amazing cookers.

I don't buy into the XL cracking issues as being widespread over any other size.  I have two XLs.  One is about 10 years old and doesn't have a crack, and neither does the one that is over a year old.  I have had a crack in the large base and fireboxes tho.  I think BGE would need to release data, chatter on the internet is hard to quantify on what is really happening.  I think when there are cracks in the XL there is a larger groan from the customer that they may tend to vocalize online.  It is much more difficult to disassemble an XL than a L.  I am 45 and carried my two XLs through my house to put them in my back yard.  As I get older, this is not going to be possible.  I can understand when someone that is not capable due to age or any other condition has to take an XL apart.  And to your point, when my 2XL eventually has a crack, I might  need to hire someone to help replace it, it would be a challenge lifting a 2XL base out of the nest at 75 years old!  Its ok, I would just hire sons and their children and pay them some food, or they know they get to have the grill when I die so they may be inclined to help.  :)

XL and Med are gone, they both lasted two days. Now to sell a large.
