Who’s got the best gasket replacement? Thought I saw someone post here before about a guy who sells kits that are amazing.

@RRP is "Mr. Gasket". He sells lengths of Rutland gasket material.

You do understand you don’t have to have a gasket. Have 5 eggs and no gaskets. The only thing i can see is you need to be more careful in closing them as no pads.
Also if you do want a gasket call Ron.

Does running Eggs without a gasket not increase their time in snuffing the fire and in cooling down? I always anticipated this would be a result of the lack of seal, because of increased airflow through the crack between the dome and base.

This ^.  Yes, eggs run and can cook without a gasket.  They just run with more precision and shut down faster when a gasket is in place.

Only my opinion. But the most important reason on the gasket is closing the thing without ceramic to ceramic hitting. Then maybe a slight quicker snuffing itself out. I’m retired and plenty of time.
Like i said only my opinion and no gaskets here with my 5 Eggs and doing this for the past 12 or 13 years. Now to be perfectly straight i do not cook under 300 for any reason ever (hell, might need a gasket for that).

a gasket does help slightly misalignment of the dome.
