Beef Ribs Help

I've decided last minute to try beef ribs. What does the road ahead look like, time wise? If Costco has them I want to pick up back ribs. I've read a couple of sites that talk about 8-9 hours. Is that accurate?

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. Above all, have fun.Beef back ribs can take anywhere from 4-6 hours at around 250-260*F on the calibrated dome. Short ribs will generally run longer. The key is the toothpick test for the win. Enjoy the cook. Beef ribs beat their pork cousins every time. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

FWIW my Costco only has boneless short ribs already cut into strips in the case, but you might ask if they have slabs of uncut ribs available in the back.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Much appreciated all. 4-6 I can live with, but as smokeypitt said, I'm here at Costco and they don't have any.
Just means I need better planning
I'll save it for memorial day. Thanks all -
I've always gotten my boneless short ribs at Costco by asking the meat cutters for a sealed cryovac package. I've never seen beef back ribs at my Costco but I haven't looked too hard since I prefer the short ribs (boneless or with bones). I've also bought them at Restaurant Depot (boneless short ribs, or chuck short ribs with bones or plate ribs with bones). RD also has baby back ribs but they don't have much meat on them.Large BGE
