Anybody out there bought and used the eggspander yet? I got one earlier this week for my Large and was curious of any tips or recommended configurations I should try. Thanks Eggheads!

Call Tom at Ceramic Grill Store and ask about the Woo and the Expander. Tom invented this way before BGE stole his idea.-----------------------------------------analyze adapt overcome2008 -Large BGE. 2013- Small BGE and 2015 - Mini. Henderson, Ky.

I have the ceramic grill store’s version of this. I like cooking most things high in the dome when going indirect. This works particularly well with pizza, whole chickens and wings. I do my low and slows as high up as possible too. I don’t do much direct grilling on my BGE so I can’t say much for setups with that. Sadly, you’ll get a lot of snippy responses because you have the BGE version and not the Ceramic Grill Store version. I don’t have a problem with it, some people do.Pittsburgh, PA. LBGE

I think the eggspander looks interesting. I don’t have any tips as I have woos and adjustable rigs, but I think the concepts carry over. Use a stone on the lower level to go indirect, seat on lower levels, and roast on the higher levels. Search adjustable rig or woo and there are some examples. Good luck and post what you learn so others can start building a library of the accessory.

There’s a bit of a rift on the forum on this touchy issue. So for fun I’ll say this, :-) YouTube search kamado joe divide and conquer don’t worry it all translates“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”
